Least common multiple

Example

Example: A = 12, B = 18 → 36

Maximum 1,000,000 characters.

How to use this result

Find the least common multiple of two integers. For positive inputs, this is the first positive number that is a multiple of both, useful for matching repeating cycles or finding a shared denominator.

Worked example

a: 12
b: 18
36

Limits and edge cases

Negative inputs are treated by their absolute values. If either input is zero, the result is 0. Inputs and the computed result must fit JavaScript’s safe-integer range; a larger result is rejected.
